CLUB OLYMPIA SWIMS FINAL QUALIFYING MEET PRIOR TO STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

This past weekend, Club Olympia joined the Flashes Aquatics Swim Team at Franklin Central High School near Indianapolis in a Time Trials qualifying event prior to the start of Indiana Swimming’s Annual Championship Weeks.    The dual meet allowed swimmers from both clubs a final attempt through competition to achieve Divisional or State Championship Qualifying Times.  31 Club Olympia Swimmers competed in 114 events achieving 71 personal best times.   11 athletes achieved cut times that will allow them to compete in either first time or additional events during the championship meets the first three weekends of March.  Those achieving new cut times were Cali Gray, Kay Payne, Ali Trueblood, Arjun Agarkar, Sartak Deshmukh, Shourya Malviya, Josh Pendleton, Aksh Ranjan, Chris Suo, and Turner and Lane Mellencamp.

Club Olympia now has a record 61 athletes qualified for nearly 250 events commencing this weekend at the Indiana Swimming South East Divisionals at Center Grove High School followed during the subsequent two weekends by the Indiana Swimming Senior State and Age Group State Championship Meets which both will be held at the I.U. Natatorium on the campus of IUPUI in Indianapolis.
