Club Olympia swimmers competed in FAST Santa Claus Classic

Club Olympia swimmers competed in the Santa Claus Classic, also at Fishers, against clubs from Indiana, Ohio and Michigan.

Tony Machavariani won the 8-and-under 25 freestyle, 25 breaststroke, 50 backstroke, 50 butterfly, 100 freestyle, 25 backstroke, 50 breaststroke, 50 freestyle and 25 butterfly, placing in the top five for 10U in three of those events. He has Indiana Divisional qualifying times in nearly all of his 10U events.

Josh Pendleton won the 10U 200 individual medley, 200 freestyle, 50 freestyle, 50 breaststroke, 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly. He has qualified for all Age Group State Championship 10U events.

Arya Kichambare finished third in the 8U 50 butterfly, 25 butterfly and 25 backstroke and had five top-five and nine top-10 finishes. Lily Pendleton had four 8U top-five finishes.

Connelly Furnish had two 12U top-five and five top-10 finishes and made her first state cut in the 50 breaststroke.

Misha Machavariani finished second in the 13-and-over 200 breaststroke and 100 breaststroke and third in the 500 freestyle. He had six top-five finishes and top-10s in all nine of his events.

Ashley Freel won the 13-and-over 50 backstroke and 200 butterfly, took second in the 500 butterfly and was fourth in the 200 freestyle, 400 IM, 100 freestyle and 500 freestyle. She had top-10 finishes in all nine of her events.

Maggie Johnson had five top-five and nine top-10 finishes in her nine 13-and-over events. Hope Westphal had two top-five and eight top-10 finishes in her nine 13-and-over events.

Todd Hundley had three 13-and-over top-10 finishes. Ethan Hall had one 13-and-over top-10 and achieved Divisional qualifying times in two events.
